Why would you do this

Holy crap, an XJ with a chinese-market front fascia!

I’m surprised the China market XJ grilles and lights are that easy to get.

Oh, so that’s what it is
I forgot to take a closer picture, but it doesn’t look even remotely that clean. The headlight covers aren’t shaped to fit the fender angle, so I think they’re just random crap. But that’s definitely the same grille

It from the Chinese market Jeep 2500. I guess it’s a called an MJ Instead of an XJ. It does kinda look like something out of Grand Theft Auto, or another one of those racing games where they couldn't afford the copy rights to they just make the cars look similar to real cars,

Me too, I don’t imagine there would be much, if any demand. It just looks terrible.

It really does....especially the one in my picture, it’s lifted on newer Jeep wheels, has newer seats and a steering wheel in it too, and that hood bulge. It’s really disconcerting in person, I’ll have to take better pictures next week.

Those black aftermarket projectors don’t look too great either. At least the OEM headlights still have a hint of Classic bid round headlights, that seem right on a Jeep.

I thought the MJ was the Comanche.

They look even worse as you get closer

You haven’t been to AliExpress yet?

It’s to fit the supercharger you Hellcat-hating rube

I have mixed feelings on that look. I love the lights but I'm unsure of the grill.

I don't mind the lights, but I still prefer the normal front end

Yeah, you can tell that this is made for the Asian market. It looks Mahindra.

Fuck no that ain’t no MJ.
But yes, it is the Chinese market 2500 or whatever it’s called front end. One of those things people do that you just kinda wonder about.

You speak truth.

The grill and lights are a pretty common swap, but I’ve heard that the fenders can be problematic to source, so most people just end up hacking up the original fenders. Some people are much better at it than others.

That's strange, it just looks like such a massive cosmetic downgrade to me. That's what this one has done, the fenders definitely don't fit the headlights

Yeah. I imagine it’s most popular among that peculiar demographic that has “vanilla ice cream” tattooed on their shoulder in Chinese but thinks it says “hard as rock” or maybe in this case “young boys eating soup” instead of “you wouldn’t understand”.
Personally I don’t mind the look of the Chinese market front ends, but it’s just so out of place with the rest of the xj’s aesthetic that it doesn’t work. A bit like the people who swap the ‘97+ front ends onto an older XJ or MJ but don't do anything to the back end... they just don't match, and it looks bad.

I’d guess you’re right on that one. Oh I hate that too....that's my main issue with this swap too, nothing matches up between the front and the rest, it ruins the lines
